Learn about the cluster design framework in a quick and easy way, and preview preliminary results obtained using HP BL465c G7 servers.
Below you will find:
- PowerPoint slides
- Poster from the ISC’12 conference
- Video tutorial
- Tool’s output
The demo version of the tool is able to process 264 configurations of the HP BL465c G7 server, and identify the best one in just one minute. We also find that altogether 5 configurations meet the constraints, but 4 of them are sub-optimal.
Here are the PowerPoint slides (NB: slides have helpful comments). There is also the PDF equivalent (slightly less readable) at this link for your convenience.
For an overview of cluster design workflow — and how web services can help — please refer to this poster presented at International Supercomputing Conference (ISC’12) in Hamburg.

The tool’s output for Hewlett-Packard’s HP BL465c G7 server is available for download in CSV format. Note that all configurations except the top 5 are disabled, as they don’t meet constraints.
